Saudi-Led Aggressors Continue Yemen Ceasefire Breach

Saudi-Led Aggressors Continue Yemen Ceasefire Breach

Alwaght- The Saudi-led aggressors have continued to breach the Yemen ceasefire in several provinces across the war torn country on Saturday.

According to Yemeni news agency Saba, Saudi warplanes flew on the skies of the Capital, Amran, Sana'a, Mareb, Jawf, Sa'ada, Dhalea and Taiz provinces. At the same time, the Saudi mercenaries pounded al-Ghail district in Jawf with artillery shells.

The mercenaries in Taiz province targeted the army and popular committees sites in Tha'abat with light and medium weapons. In Sana'a province, they targeted Melh district with heavy weapons.

In protest to the Saudi truce violation, last month Ansarullah movement submitted a protest to the UN officials against Saudi Arabia’s attacks, saying such blatant cases of ceasefire violation could lead to a full collapse of the peace talks currently going on in Kuwait.

Meanwhile, UN Chief Ban Ki-moon is to arrive in the Kuwaiti capital on Sunday, in a bid to push Yemen peace talks taking place in Kuwait.

Ban will meet with the UN’s envoy on the Yemen conflict, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, and with Yemeni parties involved in peace negotiations, said UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric.

He will also hold talks with Kuwait’s Amir His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al- Sabah, and government members, the spokesman added.

Nearly 10,000 Yemenis have been killed during the illegal Saudi-led aggression on Yemen since March 2015, with the vast majority of them being innocent civilians including women and children.

Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to the Saudi regime.

The strikes have also taken a heavy toll on the country’s facilities and infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, markets, schools, factories and mosques.
