Ahmad Shafeyi: ISIS Terrorists Have to Go

Alwaght- The World Congress on Extremist and Takfiri Movements in the Islamic Scholars’ View began in the Iranian holy city of Qom on Sunday and finished its work on Monday, Press TV reported .

More than 600 Muslim scholars from over 80 countries attended the two-day event. According to reports, 40 percent of the participants were Shiite and 60 percent Sunni.

This congress was held in four specialized Panels aiming at investigating the genealogy of Takfiri movements as well as ways to counter the threat of Takfiri ideology and extremism.

One of the invited Islamic scholars to this congress is Ahmad Shafeyi, University Professor at Kurdish region of Iraq who holds a PhD in Interpretation of Quran and Hadith.  The Al-waght reporter has run a short interview with him as follows:

Q: According to your mind, what is the first solution in order to fight Takfirist groups and extremist movements?

A: The unity of all Muslims as the first anti-ISIS terrorist solution is needed to eradicate the extremism by the ISIS terrorist group.  Muslims should stand side by side like brothers against Takfirism. Muslims professors, scholars and leaders have a duty to give information on ISIS terrorists in order to inform Muslim young men to what extent these terrorist groups can be harmful to Islam and humanity.

Q: What do you think about the fate and future of the Takfirist groups and extremist movements?

A: I think, ISIS terrorists should leave Iraq and Syria, because they do not have any place among Iraqi and Syrian people. Their misled thoughts are against Islam and humanity. Therefore, they should go, because they do not have any place in Iraq and Syria.

Q: As the last question, what do you think about the future of the supporters of Takfirist groups?
A: Their fate and future is as same as ISIS terrorists. They should leave Iraq and Syria. If a country supports ISIS terrorists, it will be faced with a variety of problems.
