Alwaght-After a long challenging debate on Friday, the members of the House of Commons of Britain agreed on backing a plan to join the airstrikes against ISIS terrorist group in Iraq and Syria. Some days ago, America and its allies in West Asia including Saudi and UAE have launched airstrikes against ISIS strongholds in Syria and Iraq. In addition, France is playing its own role in a coalition of America and its allies against ISIS terrorist group.
It is noteworthy that the airstrikes are not effective in a great extent. On the one hand, many innocent Syrian and Iraqi civilians are killed, due to the nature of airstrikes. Therefore, the airstrikes will be led to killing the innocent civilians in Syria and Iraq, as well. On the other hand, airstrikes against ISIS terrorists' strongholds have not assisted army forces to get rid of ISIS terrorist groups in the occupied states of Iraq and Syria.
Due to the airstrikes, ISIS terrorists have fled to other regions; therefore, more regions in Iraq and Syria would suffer from ISIS terrorism and consequently more civilians will be killed. Moreover, airstrikes and ISIS terrorists' move to other regions are among the factors that increases the victims of terrorism in Iraq and Syria.
It can be concluded that the lack of specific and clear-cut strategy for airstrikes against ISIS strongholds may turn the anti-ISIS measures into pro-ISIS ones in which permanent terrorism and human disasters in Iraq and Syria can be its outcome.
