Iran Criticizes US Airstrike on Migrant Detention Facility in Yemen

ALWAGHT- A spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry strongly denounced the American military strike on a migrant detention center in Yemen, which claimed the lives of dozens and injured many.

On Monday, Esmaeil Baghaei condemned the ongoing US attacks on civilian targets, infrastructure, and homes in Yemen, which have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of innocent people. He labeled these actions as war crimes and criticized the lack of response from the UN and human rights organizations, highlighting the repeated violations of Yemen's sovereignty.

Baghaei also linked the US military aggression against Yemen to the broader agenda of the Israeli regime, which he claimed aims to weaken Muslim nations and destabilize the West Asia region. He emphasized the responsibility of Muslim countries to take action to stop the violence in Yemen and prevent the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.

The latest US strikes on Yemen, including an attack on a migrant detention center in Saada and bombings around the capital Sana’a, have resulted in dozens more casualties. With the death toll from US strikes since March 15 exceeding 250, the situation remains dire, as the international community continues to face criticism for its inaction.
