ALWAGHT- The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that an unidentified projectile hit a cargo vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz, triggering a fire on board.
The UKMTO said the vessel’s security officer reported that an unidentified projectile had struck the ship, causing a fire to break out.
The vessel was subsequently left drifting without control, while the entire crew was evacuated. Two people were reportedly injured or otherwise affected in the incident. Authorities are investigating the circumstances, and no environmental damage has been reported so far.
