ALWAGHT- A former commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and current legislator has stated that Iran's missile launchers are fully armed and ready to deliver a decisive response to any potential Israeli attack, following the country's retaliatory Operation True Promise II against the Zionist regime.
Mohammad Esmaeil Kowsari, a former IRGC commander, announced that Iran's missile launchers are fully prepared to respond to any potential aggression from Israel. He stated that Iran's multi-layered air defense system is at its highest level of readiness and warned that many of the missile platforms, yet to be used, could deliver a destructive power that would shock the world.
On Tuesday night, the IRGC launched a large-scale missile strike against Israel, causing sirens to sound throughout the occupied territories. Flares and missiles were visible in the skies over Tel Aviv, with explosions heard in al-Quds, leading illegal settlers to seek shelter. This marked a significant escalation in the conflict.
In response to the missile attacks, the Israel Airports Authority suspended all flights in and out of the country. Israeli media, including Haaretz, reported direct hits in several areas, such as Negev and Sharon, indicating the effectiveness of the IRGC’s strikes.
The IRGC confirmed that the operation targeted key locations in retaliation for the assassinations of high-profile resistance leaders, including Ismail Haniyeh, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, and General Abbas Nilforoushan. Iran framed the strike as an exercise of its right to self-defense under international law, in response to Israeli crimes supported by the United States.
In a follow-up statement, the IRGC revealed that its missiles successfully hit 90% of their intended targets, including air and radar bases involved in planning assassinations of resistance leaders. The IRGC warned Israel that any retaliation would be met with even more devastating attacks.
