Alwaght- The ISIS terrorist group has once again used chemical weapons in its attacks against Syrians, this time on residential areas in the Syrian town of Mare’a.
According to Syria's official SANA news agency, several residents of Mare’a said they suffered from asphyxiation after the ISIS terrorists fired shells apparently containing toxic materials at the town on Saturday,
The foreign-backed ISIS terrorists had previously launched several chemical attacks in various areas under their control in Syria and neighboring Iraq.
On Friday, a US Defense Department official said US military officials in Iraq have issued preliminary confirmation that ISIS terrorists used mustard gas in a mortar attack on Kurdish forces in August
On August 14, US media outlets cited several American intelligence and military officials as saying that the terrorists had used mustard agent as a weapon in their raid on the northeastern Syrian city of Hasakah in early August.
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also said that the ISIS terror group has used the gas in an operation against fighters from the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in 28 June, during an attack on the village of Rajm al- Tfihi located in the south of Tal Brak town in the Hasakah province.
According to Iraqi officials and Kurds fighting in Syria, ISIS terrorists have previously launched several chemical attacks in different parts of Iraq and Syria.
The ISIS terrorist group has committed gross human rights violations in the areas under their control, particularly in Syria, Iraq, and Libya.
