Parliament Speaker Criticizes Trump’s Rhetoric Against Iran

ALWAGHT- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf denounced the US president’s inconsistent positions and disrespectful rhetoric toward Iran, calling it a futile effort at psychological warfare.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf criticized foreign politicians, especially former US President Donald Trump, for spreading “paradoxical messages and fake news” as part of psychological warfare against Iran. He described Trump’s contradictory and disrespectful rhetoric as a failed attempt to sow fear and disrupt Iranian decision-making, asserting that Iranians remain steadfast in defending their homeland and that traitors will be forgotten by history.

The recent conflict began on June 13 when Israel launched a 12-day aggression targeting Iran’s military, nuclear, and residential sites, followed by US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on June 22. In response, Iran’s military conducted powerful counterattacks, including 22 waves of missile strikes against Israeli targets and missile attacks on the US al-Udeid air base in Qatar, demonstrating Iran’s strong retaliatory capabilities.

A ceasefire took effect on June 24, halting the fighting. Throughout, Qalibaf emphasized Iran’s resilience and determination to protect its sovereignty despite external pressures and aggression. He highlighted the importance of national strength and unity in facing foreign threats and underscored Iran’s readiness to respond decisively to any renewed hostilities.
