Alwaght- The United States is training former members of ISIS, al-Nusra Front and other terrorist groups to fight the Syrian Army under a newly formed outfit, a Russian agency has revealed.
According to a report released by Russia’s center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria, “Despite the statements from the American side about its adherence to elimination of the ISIS terrorist organization, the (US-led) International Coalition continues cooperating with the remaining terrorists in Syria. The US instructors of the Special Operations Command tie up separate groups of militants at a refugee camp into new military units, called the New Syrian Army. The US instructors, according to refugees returning home, are saying after the training the new units would be relocated to Syria’s south to fight the Syrian governmental forces there”.
The center added that, "according to refugees returning home, the international coalition has been using that camp for more than six months as a training base for militants, who come there from Syria’s various districts."
Most militants, the locals from the refugee's camp say, used to be members of the terrorist groups, destroyed by the Syrian governmental forces – ISIS and al-Nusra Front. Sources say the camp currently hosts around 750 militants, who have come from Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, Abu Kamal and the Euphrates’ eastern areas.
Local sources say there are more than 400 ISIS terrorists in the camp, who with support from the US fled Raqqa in a convoy in October.
The Syrian government and its allies, especially Iran and Russia have been asserting over the years that terrorists in the region were backed by Western, particularly the US, the UK and France countries and reactionary regional regimes led by Saudi Arabia.
