The article, published by Israel Hayom, was written by Mark Dubowitz, head of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a US-based think tank known for advocating tougher measures against Iran. Dubowitz warned that future US administrations could expand financial penalties from individual Israeli settlers to companies, banks, and broader economic sectors.
Dubowitz proposed strengthening Israel’s economic ties with the United States and other markets while deepening bilateral military, technological, intelligence, and economic integration. He argued that such integration could make financial pressure on Israel carry significant consequences for Washington as well.
