Yemeni Forces Strike Key Israeli Sites in Tel Aviv with a Hypersonic Ballistic Missile

Yemeni Forces Strike Key Israeli Sites in Tel Aviv with a Hypersonic Ballistic Missile

ALWAGHT- The Yemeni Armed Forces reported launching a “Palestine-2” hypersonic ballistic missile, equipped with multiple fission warheads, at sensitive targets in Tel Aviv located deep inside the Israeli-occupied territories.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Saturday that it launched a missile strike on Tel Aviv in response to what it described as Israel’s “crimes of genocide and starvation” in Gaza and aggression against Yemen. The military claimed the operation was successful, forcing “millions” of Israelis into shelters, and vowed to continue such actions in defense of Yemen and in solidarity with Palestinians until the siege on Gaza is lifted.

Israeli media confirmed that air raid sirens sounded across Tel Aviv and other areas during the strike, though no casualties were reported by Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service. The Israeli military later stated that its defense systems intercepted the missile. This attack followed earlier Yemeni strikes involving a hypersonic missile and drones targeting sites in the Negev desert and Ramon Airport, which Yemeni officials also described as successful.

The escalation is part of Yemen’s broader campaign of missile and drone operations against Israel since October 2023, alongside a maritime blockade aimed at restricting military supplies to the country. The Yemeni Armed Forces maintain that these measures will persist until Israel halts its bombardment of Gaza. According to Gaza’s health ministry, Israeli attacks have killed at least 64,756 Palestinians, the majority of them women and children, since the war began.
