ALWAGHT- Saudi forces have carried out separate artillery attacks on two neighborhoods in Yemen’s Sa’ada province, close to the kingdom’s border.
Saudi forces struck the Razih and Ghamr districts in Yemen’s northwestern Sa’ada province on Saturday, damaging or destroying civilian properties, according to local sources cited by al-Masirah TV. There were no immediate reports of casualties, but the attacks highlight the ongoing danger to residents as cross-border strikes have become nearly daily occurrences.
Observers note that these attacks receive little international attention, with UN agencies providing minimal humanitarian or political support and reportedly halting relief efforts in the affected border communities, partly due to external pressures. Despite Yemen’s efforts at de-escalation, including limiting its military actions to deterrence against Israel, Saudi offensives continue unabated.
The Saudi-led war in Yemen, launched in March 2015 with the backing of Arab allies and Western support, aimed to defeat the Ansarullah movement and reinstate the Riyadh-aligned government of Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi. The campaign has failed to achieve its objectives, leaving hundreds of thousands dead and contributing to the world’s most severe humanitarian crisis.
