ALWAGHT- Hamas has denounced Israel’s plan to occupy Gaza City and relocate its residents, calling it a violation of international law and warning that it could lead to genocide and the forced displacement of hundreds of thousands.
Hamas condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to take full control of Gaza City, calling the plan a major war crime and a violation of international and humanitarian law. The group criticized Israel’s claims of providing shelters and humanitarian aid as deceptive, accusing the occupation of using them to justify the forced displacement of Gaza’s population. Hamas also blamed US political and military support for enabling Israel’s actions.
The resistance movement warned that Netanyahu’s cabinet is pursuing a broader strategy to remove Palestinians from their land, with ambitions to expand Israel’s territory into neighboring countries, including Jordan, Egypt, and Syria. Hamas described the concept of “Greater Israel” as a threat to the stability of the entire West Asia region and urged Arab, Muslim, and international actors to oppose Israel’s occupation plans.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s military campaign against Gaza has killed nearly 61,827 Palestinians and injured over 155,000, mostly women and children, while sealing border crossings and worsening the humanitarian crisis. Hamas denounced Netanyahu’s latest plan as an extension of genocidal policies and displacement tactics, prompting global concern, with the United Nations labeling potential expansion of Israel’s incursions as “deeply alarming.”
