Yemeni Army and forces of Ansarullah resistance movement destroyed a Saudi military unit near border

Alwaght- Yemeni Army and forces of Ansarullah resistance movement destroyed a Saudi military unit near border on Sunday.

The Yemeni forces attacked a Saudi convoy trying to cross the border between two neighboring countries in al-Najran region south of Saudi Arabia, Al Masdar News cited Yemeni Republican Guard as saying.

Yemeni Republican Guard reported that numbers of Yemeni forces, mainly from Ansarullah movement, ambushed a Saudi Army convoy near the Al-Biqa' Desert after observing the latter's movements for several hours.

Scores of Saudi soldiers were killed during the attack and some vehicle was destroyed.

Video footage of this ambush, Published by al-Massira television on Sunday, shows the moment the Ansarullah forces carried out the attack.

The attack is reported to have prevented a large-scale offensive launched by the Saudi Army in southern Najran.

Saudi Arabia has been launching airstrikes in Yemen since March 2015. The war was launched in an unsuccessful attempt to reinstate Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who has resigned as Yemen’s president. The UN puts the death toll from the military aggression at over 10,000.
