Alwaght- Syrian army advances further into the Aleppo city liberating more lands from terrorists, the al-Masdar news site reported on Monday.
The forces supported by the Palestinian Liwaa al-Quds units attacked terrorist and militant groups around the recently captured Al-'Oweija District and Jandoul Roundabout.
The offensive targeted the hilltop of Tal Sifan where the 102nd Brigade of the Republican Guard engaged in a fierce battle with the Fatah Halab terrorists for several hours.
The air support by Russian jets enabled the Syrian army to break-through Fatah Halab's main line of defense at Tal Sifan before they withdraw completely from the strategic hilltop.
Tal Sifan overlooks the Jandoul Roundabout and it is strategically situated at the southwestern axis of the al-Oweija District.
The northern city of Aleppo has been divided between state forces on the west and the terrorist and militant groups on the eastern sides.
Syrian army along with volunteer forces and backed with Russian air support has initiated an extensive offensive to liberate the whole city.
