Hundreds of Zionists Stormed Funerary Monumental, Shot Palestinian

Alwaght- Hundreds of Zionist settlers stormed Joseph Tomb, funerary monument located on the outskirts of Nablus, and shot a Palestinian.

Protected by Israeli Regime Security forces, 12 buses packed with hundreds of extremist settlers stormed Joseph Tomb that led to eruption of clashes with Palestinian locals, Palestine-based, Wafa reported.

Israeli soldiers opened live fire at Palestinian locals who attempted to prevent  hardilne settlers from storming the religious site.

Settlers repeatedly break into Joseph Tomb, located in a densely Palestinian populated area in Nablus, provoking chaos and confrontation with local residents.

The site of Joseph’s Tomb is contentious. Palestinians believe the site to be the funerary monument to Sheikh Yousef Dweikat, a local religious figure, while Israeli settlers believe it to belong to the Biblical Patriarch Joseph.

After Israeli Regime occupied the West Bank in 1967, Palestinians were prohibited from worship at the shrine and it was gradually turned into a Jewish prayer room.
