Alwaght- Pakistani security forces have apprehended over 40 ISIS people affiliated with the ISIS Takfiri terrorist group in the country’s eastern province of Punjab.
According to Punjab provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah ,the regions government is fully active, for eliminating the menace of terrorism.
In a press statement on Monday,he said that under National Action Plan, hundreds of suspect persons have been arrested during effective activities. He said that Chief Minister Punjab personally reviews law and order situation twice a week and no negligence is tolerated in this regard. He said that Counter Terrorism Force is fully ready to cope with any activity of terrorists.
Rana Sanaullah also revealed at least 100 Pakistanis left the country to j o i n the ISIS terrorist group in Syria and Iraq.
Last month Police in Pakistan's port city of Karachi said they are hunting down a network of women from wealthy families who are allegedly acting as fundraisers for the ISIS terrorists group and arranging marriages for its followers.
Raja Umar Khattab, chief of Sindh province's counterterrorism unit, said a suspect confessed that his wife had established a religious organisation in the city called Al Zikra Academy to fund the group's activities.
Pakistan has been at war with the various Taliban terrorist group factions in its northern territories for more than a decade, but ISIS appears to be posing a growing and potent threat.
In neighboring Afghanistan, an ISIS affiliate has been established by Taliban defectors and is involved in fighting the government there, as well as the Afghan Taliban.
