ALWAGHT- Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Chief Commander Major General Hossein Salami has firmly denied US claims that Iran plays a role in Yemen’s decision-making and national policies.
Major General Hossein Salami reaffirmed that Yemenis are an independent and sovereign nation, dismissing US allegations of Iranian influence in their national policies. His remarks came in response to US President Donald Trump's warning against Iran’s support for Yemen’s Ansarullah movement before launching airstrikes on the country.
Rejecting Trump's claims, Salami stated that Iran always takes full responsibility for its military actions and support, openly announcing any operations it conducts. He cited past operations, such as Operation True Promise, where Iran publicly acknowledged its involvement in strikes against Israel during the Gaza conflict.
The IRGC commander also warned that threats against Iran have consistently led to defeats for its adversaries, particularly the United States. He emphasized that Iran will respond decisively to any aggression, asserting that past wars have only resulted in humiliation for those who challenge the Islamic Republic.
