The Foreign Ministers of Iran and Jordan spoke by phone to discuss bilateral relations

ALWAGHT- The Iranian and Jordanian Foreign Ministers held a phone conversation to discuss bilateral relations and the latest developments in Palestine.

Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister congratulated Abbas Araghchi on his appointment as Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressing wishes for his success.

During the conversation, the Jordanian Foreign Minister voiced concern about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the escalating tensions in the West Bank, emphasizing the urgent need to de-escalate the situation in both areas.

Araghchi thanked his Jordanian counterpart for the congratulations and affirmed Iran's readiness for constructive dialogue with Jordan on bilateral relations as well as regional and international matters. He highlighted the Zionist regime as the primary source of tension and conflict in the region due to its ongoing criminal actions. Araghchi argued that this regime is the biggest obstacle to reaching a peace agreement in Gaza and called for decisive international action to halt the Zionists' genocide.

He also stressed the importance of sending humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people and reaffirmed Iran's support for an agreement that aligns with the desires of the Palestinian people and their resistance.

Both ministers agreed on the importance of continuing consultations between their countries, viewing it as beneficial for both nations and the broader region.
