Alwaght- The Muslim nations will see the collapse of the Israeli regime despite the assistance Tel Aviv is receiving from the West, said Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei when he today received participants in 44th International Quran Competitions.
He added that despite inaction by the Muslim governments, the nations back the Palestinian cause and their resistance both in Gaza and the West Bank.
The Leader continued that Palestine’s victory over the Israeli occupation is a certainty, citing a Quranic verse that suggests the God assists those who resist the oppression.
"We hope, we have the hope for [victory] one day. This is a promise of God. The divine victory will cover the Palestinians, and the Muslim world will eyewitness, with the help of God, the demise of the Zionist cancerous tumor," he held.
In part of his address he questioned the Muslim governments' lack of action against the Israeli regime.
" The Holy Quran says [in a verse] those who are with him [Prophet Muhammad] are hard against the unbelievers and merciful to one to another. Is this hard approach shown against the meant Zionist regime [by Muslim governments]? These are the big pains of the Muslim world. The God will question the Muslim nations for not pressing their governments [to take action against Israeli regime," he asserted.
He also called on the Quran reciters to play a role in the awakening of the Muslim nations, adding that the should highlight in their recitings and competitions the verses that call for unity of the Muslims and for help to each other.
He noted that Quran is a "book of guidance" and it should not be found just in the corners of the mosques and worship places. It should have a role in the life of people. It helps awaken the people.
He at the same time lauded the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation, saying that the Palestinians in Gaza today are the showcase of the Quranic teachings.
"Indeed, the resistance of Gaza and Palestine by standing in front of the Zionist enemy are following the teachings and instructions of the Quran and on the other side of this story, and by the grace of God and based on the promises of the Quran, divine help will cover them in this situation," he went on.
