Alwaght-A gang of Israeli extremist settlers on Tuesday morning stormed the compound of the Aqsa Mosque, in Occupied Quds, under protection of Israeli regime forces.
Palestinian media sources said a mob of some 38 Jewish fanatics broke into al-Aqsa Mosque via al-Maghareba Gate and defiled its compound while Israeli regime forces provided tight security to the desecrators.
The peaceful Muslim worshipers present voiced protest at the sacrilegious attack-in by chanting “Allah the Greatest” all the way through.
Meanwhile, the Israeli regime forces used heavy force on the female Muslim worshipers, seizing their IDs at the main entrances to the Mosque to hasten their abduction on allegations of obstructing police work.
Earlier, on Monday evening and early Tuesday morning the Israeli regime forces kidnapped two Palestinian youngsters from Al Quds neighborhoods of Silwan and Bab Hitta, near al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Israeli regime has tried to change the demographic makeup of al-Quds over the past decades by constructing illegal settlements, destroying historical sites and expelling the local Palestinian population.
The al-Aqsa Mosque compound, located in the Israeli-occupied Old City of al-Quds, is a flashpoint Islamic site, also holy to the Jews. The mosque is Islam’s third holiest site after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina.
