Iran Neither Pursues nor Supports the Development of Nuclear Weapons

ALWAGHT- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed Iran’s right to utilize peaceful nuclear technology for essential industries, emphasizing once again that the nation neither pursues nor endorses nuclear weapons.

At the Tehran Dialogue Forum, President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized Iran's right to use peaceful nuclear technology for vital sectors such as health, agriculture, and industry. He reiterated that Iran’s religious beliefs prohibit the development of nuclear weapons, dismissing Western accusations as baseless and warmongering.

Pezeshkian invited verification of Iran’s nuclear program, stating the country has nothing to hide and is focused on scientific and technological progress to improve lives, not on weapons development. He condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks on Palestinians, urging Muslims and the global community to oppose oppression and uphold human dignity.

The forum, attended by 200 delegations from 53 countries and UN representatives, discussed key issues including sanctions relief, Middle East disarmament, and nuclear non-proliferation, highlighting Iran’s call for regional and international consensus on these matters.
