ALWAGHT- Hezbollah's secretary general states the Lebanese resistance remains fully committed to the November 27 ceasefire with Israel, despite frequent violations by the Tel Aviv regime.
In a televised speech from Beirut, Sheikh Naim Qassem stated that Hezbollah has not violated the ceasefire agreement, while accusing Israel of over 3,000 breaches. He urged the Lebanese government to take action by pressuring the US and France—guarantors of the ceasefire—to rein in Israel’s attacks. Qassem condemned recent Israeli airstrikes in Beirut’s southern suburbs, claiming they had US backing, and warned Washington that its interests in Lebanon would be at risk if instability continues.
Qassem emphasized the need for Lebanon to confront Israeli aggression through diplomatic channels, including sending a letter to the UN and summoning the US ambassador. He stressed that Lebanon’s strength lies in the unity of its resistance, armed forces, and people. The Hezbollah leader outlined three national priorities: ending Israeli aggression and occupation, accelerating reconstruction efforts, and advancing state-building. He also highlighted Hezbollah’s support for displaced citizens and the rebuilding of damaged homes.
Addressing broader regional issues, Qassem praised Palestinian resilience in Gaza, describing it as a key factor in preventing Israel from achieving its goals. He also expressed condolences to Iran over the deadly explosion in Bandar Abbas and extended sympathies to Christians worldwide on the death of Pope Francis.
