Extension of Anti-Iran US Sanctions, Definite Breach of JCPOA: Leader

Alwaght- Iran’s foreign minister, has mocked Israeli Regime's Prime Minister who claimed on Monday Tehran has a nuclear weapons program.

Mohammad Javad Zarif, tweeted out a photo of Benjamin Netanyahu’s infamous 2012 UN speech in which he used a cartoon-like drawing of a bomb to rail against Iran’s nuclear program and wrote, “The boy who can’t stop crying wolf is at it again.”

“Undeterred by cartoon fiasco at UNGA. You can only fool some of the people so many times,” Iranian top diplomat said.

In a televised prime-time speech, Netanyahu claimed the Israeli regime had tens of thousands of documents from what he called Iran’s “atomic archives,” which he presented as "new evidence," and which he said had been shared with the US.

The US was quick to confirm Netanyahu's accusations. The “new and compelling” details about Iran’s nuclear program revealed by the Israeli prime minister are “consistent” with what the United States has long known, the White House said after Benjamin Netanyahu’s flashy presentation.

The White House said in a statement, "This information provides new and compelling details about Iran’s efforts to develop missile-deliverable nuclear weapons.”

Trump, also, at a joint press conference with his Nigerian counterpart, Muhammadu Buhar said “I think if anything what’s happening today and what’s happened over the last little while… has really shown that I’m 100% right” about the 2015 nuclear deal".

Responding to Trump's remarks, Iran's foreign minister posted another tweet, saying, "Pres. Trump is jumping on a rehash of old allegations already dealt with by the IAEA to “nix” the deal. How convenient. Coordinated timing of alleged intelligence revelations by the boy who cries wolf just days before May 12. But Trump’s impetuousness to celebrate blew the cover."

Meanwhile, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has said that Netanyahu is playing a baseless childish, naive game. "What we saw from Netanyahu was nothing but a childish and ridiculous show."

Araqchi added that such allegations against Tehran have already been proven wrong by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

In January, Trump decided to stick with the JCPOA, but gave the European signatories a May 12 deadline to "fix the terrible flaws" of the accord or have him abandon the agreement.

Iran maintains that it will not renegotiate the deal, an international document endorsed by the Security Council Resolution 2231.

Other parties to the agreement, namely Russia, China, Britain, Germany and France, have all criticized Trump’s hostile views, saying the deal is sound and has proven to be functioning.

The UN nuclear organ, IAEA, which is tasked with monitoring Iran’s nuclear activities, has repeatedly verified Tehran's full commitment to its side of the bargain and the peaceful nature of the country's nuclear program.
