ALWAGHT- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Revolution, commended the martyred Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar for his pivotal role in resisting the "aggressive enemy," referring to him as a "prominent figure" of resistance and struggle.
Ayatollah Khamenei, in a message following the confirmation of Yahya Sinwar’s martyrdom, extended his condolences to Sinwar’s family, comrades, and all those committed to jihad for God's cause. He praised Sinwar as a symbol of resistance, noting his steadfastness against an oppressive and aggressive enemy.
Khamenei emphasized Sinwar’s bravery and wisdom in striking the enemy, particularly highlighting his role in the significant events of October 7. He referred to Sinwar’s martyrdom as a moment of pride, marking his ascension to the ranks of martyrs with dignity.
The Leader reaffirmed the resilience of the "resistance front," stating that it remains unstoppable despite the loss of key figures. He referenced past Hamas leaders like Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and Abdel Aziz Rantisi, asserting that the movement will continue without faltering, even after Sinwar's death.
Khamenei also reiterated the Islamic Republic's firm support for the resistance fighters, promising continued assistance. Hamas had confirmed that Sinwar was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, where he had been serving as the chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau after the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh.
