ALWAGHT- Iran’s IRGC Ground Force has launched its largest operational readiness drill in southwestern Iran to enhance combat preparedness against potential threats.
The IRGC Ground Force commenced its largest operational readiness drill on Tuesday in the Shaveriyeh region of Khuzestan Province, with Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, the force’s commander, in attendance. This marks the start of the second phase of the Payambar-e-A’zam (The Great Prophet) 19 exercise, following an earlier security-focused drill in Ezgeleh district, Salas-e Babajani County, Kermanshah Province.
This phase aims to implement advanced combat tactics and strategies while testing newly delivered indigenous military hardware under real-world conditions. Over the next few days, various IRGC Ground Force units will execute offensive and defensive operations, electronic warfare exercises, and large-scale armored, missile, drone, and artillery attacks.
Iran regularly conducts military exercises to assess its weaponry, equipment, and combat preparedness. Officials have repeatedly emphasized that Iran will continue to enhance its military capabilities, including missile defense systems, solely for defensive purposes, and that these capabilities will remain non-negotiable.
