ALWAGHT- In its latest violation, the IOF carried out a drone strike on a car in Aita al-Shaab, killing a Lebanese civilian.
Israeli occupation forces launched a drone strike on a car in Aita al-Shaab, killing a Lebanese civilian, according to Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health. Earlier, Israeli forces opened fire on a riverside park along the al-Wazzani River, injuring the park’s owner. Additionally, an Israeli patrol targeted a Lebanese Army post in Baraka Al-Naqqar, though no casualties were reported. Meanwhile, Israeli troops fired machine guns from the Israeli Radar Outpost at homes in the town of Shebaa, escalating tensions in the region.
Israeli forces are also actively working to cut off a key road between the towns of Odeisseh and Kfar Kila, while Israeli drones have been spotted flying at low altitudes over several towns in Nabatieh. In response to these ongoing violations, Lebanon's presidency reaffirmed its demand for a full Israeli withdrawal from South Lebanon and reiterated its commitment to UN Resolution 1701. Despite the agreement, Israeli forces have remained in five locations in South Lebanon beyond the ceasefire deadline, violating the terms of withdrawal.
A security source confirmed that while the Israeli army has left most border villages, it continues to occupy five key locations. The Lebanese Army has been gradually deploying in the region, but its progress is hindered by landmines and road damage. Additionally, Israeli occupation tanks and vehicles advanced into the town of Kfar Chouba, reportedly transporting explosive materials in preparation for further bombings. These developments indicate continued Israeli military activity in South Lebanon, further straining regional stability.
