Iran to Send High-Level Delegation for Nasrallah’s Funeral

Alwaght- Lebanon is on the eve of a magnificent funeral for two distinguished figures and popular heros, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and head of Hezbollah Executive Council Sayyed Hashem Safieddine.

The service is set for Sunday in Dhahiya in southern Beirut. According to Sheikh Akhdar, the head of the high media committee of Hezbollah, the funeral will officially start at 9:00 am Beirut time and last until 5:30 pm.

In recent weeks, extensive preparations have been made to hold this ceremony as magnificently as possible, and a wide range of Lebanese people and people from all over the region have expressed their readiness to turn out.

Reports indicate that thousands of Lebanese people and pro-resistsnce public from various cities and villages are heading towards Beirut and southern Lebanon to participate in this ceremony.

Popular groups and organizations affiliated with Hezbollah are distributing flags, banners, and slogans related to these two figures to make the atmosphere of the ceremony more enthusiastic.

Also, according to media reports close to Hezbollah, delegations from 79 countries around the world, including popular and official delegations, will also attend this ceremony, which indicates the depth of popularity and influence of these two prominent figures of the resistance in Lebanon, the region, and even the world.

In recent days, images of the preparation of a shrine for the grave of the martyred secretary-general have circulated online for the place to be a place of pilgrimage for lovers and devotees of this model of morality and courage in the future.

Messages of condolences and solidarity

Political, cultural, and religious figures from Lebanon and the Muslim world have sent messages of condolences to Hezbollah. The messages underscore the role of the two martyrs in the anti-Israeli occupation and the defense of the rights of the Lebanese.

Resistance groups in the region, including Palestinian factions, have said they are sending delegations to the ceremony. It is noteworthy that Nasrallah's son Mohamad Mahdi this week published a video message calling for a massive turnout. He described people planning to take part on the ceremony as the "most loyal" people to the resistance.

Security arrangements

Given the large number of people and prominent regional and international figures planning to participate, one of the most important arrangements for the ceremony is to ensure its security, and in this regard, the Lebanese security forces and Hezbollah are jointly planning to ensure the security of the ceremony.

Temporary roadblocks have been planned in central Beirut and southern Lebanon to ensure safe and orderly funeral routes.

Media coverage

One of professional aspects of the ceremony is its media coverage since millions across the region and the world who could not attend the ceremony will follow the ceremony on media and social platforms.

In this regard, local and international television networks and media outlets are extensively planning to cover the ceremony live. Hezbollah-affiliated networks such as Al-Manar and Al-Mayadeen have also prepared special programs to cover the event.

Also, Hezbollah Protocol and Information Committee organized a special visit program for Arab and foreign media reporters on the eve of the funeral. This program includes visiting the birthplace of martyr Safieddine in the village of Deir Qanun Al-Nahr and the border village of Houla, which previously witnessed clashes between resistance fighters and Israeli occupation forces.

Social networks are ablaze with messages and images related to these two figures, and users from all over the world are expressing sympathy and respect for these two champions of resistance.

Arabic translation of "I'm on my promise", a slogan chosen for the "farewell" ceremony to highlight commitment to resistance and fight against occupation and oppression, is trending on social media to make available to the audience a collection of content such as photos, videos, shooting footage, aerial images, as well as special interviews with cultural and political activists from the funeral ceremony.

The funeral is not only a major event for Lebanon, but also for the entire Muslim world and the resistance movements in the region. This ceremony demonstrates the unity and solidarity of the Lebanese people in supporting the resistance and its ideals. The extensive preparations for this ceremony show how much these two figures are in the hearts of the Lebanese people and the region.

On the other hand, the passionate holding of the funeral could have profound effects on the position of the resistance and Hezbollah in Lebanon, as well as on the failure of the US and Israeli plans to weaken this movement.

Hezbollah and resistance position boost among the Lebanese people

Massive turnout in the funeral bears witness to the deep popularity and strong popular base of Hezbollah. This enthusiastic presence clearly shows that Hezbollah is not just a military or political group related to a part of Lebanese society (Shiites), but also is part of the identity and culture of resistance in Lebanon.

The funeral of these two prominent figures is also an opportunity to remember the historical role of the resistance in defending Lebanon against Israeli aggression and supporting the rights of the Lebanese people. This will make the world more aware of the importance and position of the resistance among the Lebanese and even the nations of the region.

On the other hand, this ceremony can serve as a symbol of national unity in Lebanon, since Hezbollah has supporters not only among the Shiites, but also among other religious sects in Lebanon. This unity can strengthen Hezbollah’s position in the Lebanese political scene.

Failure of American and Israeli plans to undermine Hezbollah

The US, Israel and some other foreign actors have always tried to undermine Hezbollah through sowing division among Lebanese factions and imposing economic, political, and media pressures.

After the recent war that led to the martyrdom of part of Hezbollah's command network, despite the Israelis admitting their defeat by accepting to retreat, Hezbollah's flexibility to form a new government has led some sides at home and abroad to the erroneous analysis that Hezbollah is weakened at home. Huge turnout will be effective in invalidating all these analyses and once again highlight the popular base of Hezbollah and its power of mobilization, and its military and political strength.

Also a stunning arrangement of the funeral can give the Lebanese people a resistance morale uplift and prove that resistance against foreign pressures is not only possible, but also can lead to great successes. The martyrdom of Hezbollah will inject new blood into the veins of resistance and encourage the youths to step in this path and advance resistance ideals. This can foil the Israeli plot to spread despair among the Lebanese.

Regional and international effects

A glorious funeral to Hezbollah heads also bears regional and international effects.

The enormity of this ceremony can be an inspiration for resistance movements in other countries in the region, including Palestine, Yemen, and Iraq, and show how deeply resistance to occupation and oppression has penetrated the hearts of nations. By demonstrating the unity of the Axis of Resistance , it promises a bright future for anti-occupation struggles in determining the future of regional equations.

This issue is especially important for the Palestinian people for defeating the evil conspiracy that is currently underway to relocate them to other Arab countries and end the dream of establishing an independent Palestinian state. In other words, the Palestinians can see to what extent their resistance to Israeli occupation is respected and supported by regional nations.

Also, this ceremony can enhance Hezbollah's position as one of main strongholds of resistance in the region, proving that this movement not only has not weakened in Lebanon, but also it has turned into a key player in security and political equations in the region.
