ALWAGHT- Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian highlighted the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), BRICS, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) as new platforms for enhancing cooperation between Iran and Russia.
In a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk in Tehran, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that the conclusion of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership marks a significant milestone in the cooperation between Iran and Russia. He expressed hope that both countries would focus on implementing the strategic treaty to enhance bilateral ties further.
Pezeshkian highlighted the positive progress in various sectors such as energy, industry, transportation, and trade, underscoring the value of these collaborations. He also pointed out that regional and international organizations like the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), BRICS, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have provided new platforms for strengthening Iran-Russia cooperation.
Deputy Prime Minister Overchuk conveyed greetings from Russian leadership, including Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and President Vladimir Putin, and expressed satisfaction with the recent treaty signing. He noted that the 3rd Caspian Economic Forum had offered a valuable opportunity for furthering ties among Caspian Sea nations and emphasized the importance of sharing Iran's achievements with other countries to foster economic opportunities.
