ALWAGHT- Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran's Parliament Speaker, warned the US that pressure will not force Iran to give in or stop its activities, citing its military capabilities and continued deterrence.
Speaking Tuesday at a ceremony honoring veterans of Iran's Sacred Defense, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Iran's military capabilities now allow it to strike any target it chooses with its missiles, without limitations. He stressed that Iran possesses "sustainable deterrence" and can stand up to its adversaries, vowing that Tehran will not surrender to a hybrid confrontation of economic, military, and diplomatic pressure. "We will never surrender, and we will not shut down the country," he said, pledging to respond with power as Iran has done before.
Ghalibaf directed remarks at US President Donald Trump, saying he faces "a historic civilization and a national and religious resistance" and cannot impose his power on the Iranian nation or its Armed Forces. He also framed negotiations as "an arena of struggle," saying diplomacy does not mean surrender but rather "turning the power of the battlefield into a political achievement."
