The US army deliberately disobeyed their president in attacking the Syrian army in Deir Ezzor to weaken the US-Russia brokered truce

Alwaght – The US army deliberately disobeyed their president in attacking the Syrian army in Deir Ezzor to weaken the US-Russia brokered truce, DEBKAfile site cited its sources in US army as saying.

The website claims US army is concerned about exposing its intelligence gathering technics and sources to the Russian army and eventually to the Syrian government.

US led coalition attacked a Syrian army base in the northeastern city of Deir Ezzor killing at least 62 soldiers in what Washington claimed was a “mistake attack”, pre-coordinated with the Russians, a claim Moscow rejects.

The site quotes its military sources as saying that the truce could be an opportunity for Moscow to study the combat methods and tactics practiced by the US Navy and Air force in real battlefield conditions, an opportunity Pentagon is considerably worried about.

Touching on a statement by the US State Department spokesman Mark Toner that said “everyone follows what the president says” referring to the US-Russia agreements on the Syrian truce, the article goes on to conclude that the statement itself is strongly indicated that not everyone in Washington was in fact obeying the president.

Considering that such disobedience is unprecedented, the writer believes Pentagon will struggle to keep the case “carefully under wraps”.

The article quotes its sources in Washington as saying that the US Defense Secretary Carter maintains that he can’t act against a law enacted by Congress that prohibits all military-to-military relations with Russia as a result of Moscow’s annexation of the Crimea region.

US is dragging its feet in operations which raged Russian President Vladimir Putin and his government that accuses Washington of “stalling on its promise to separate moderate rebel groups in Syria from terrorists”. Putin himself burst out that the rebels were “regrouping under the ceasefire” .

“Our military and intelligence sources see a connection between Putin’s angry outburst and the rising tensions on the Syrian-Israeli border in the past week, culminating in the two Syrian rockets that were shot down Saturday over the Golan by Israel’s Iron Dome batteries,” the writer adds.

The article also refers to the Israeli regime’s support for Al Qaeda’s Syrian arm Jabhat Al-Nusra that has renamed itself Jahat Fath Al-Sham on one side and the Putin’s absolute reject of such support on the other side to conclude that the missile attacks on the Golan Heights will “multiply in the coming days”.
