Iran Urges European Nations Not to Justify Israeli and US Aggression

ALWAGHT- Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed concern over efforts by certain European nations to rationalize the Israeli regime’s and the United States' recent aggression against Iran.

During a phone call with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi criticized certain European states for attempting to justify recent Israeli and US aggression against Iran. He warned that such biased support undermines international law and contributes to growing instability in West Asia and beyond.

Araghchi highlighted the deadly consequences of these actions, including targeted assassinations and military strikes that culminated in a 12-day Israeli assault on Iran, killing at least 935 people. The US joined the offensive by attacking Iranian nuclear facilities. Araghchi condemned these acts as clear violations of the UN Charter and international law, criticizing countries like Germany for their failure to denounce the aggression.

Swiss FM Cassis agreed that the attacks breached international regulations and affirmed Switzerland’s commitment to diplomacy. He expressed readiness to support peaceful solutions and emphasized the need to avoid further violence through dialogue and negotiation.
