West Bank Protests Slam Israeli Atrocities and Famine Tactics in Gaza

ALWAGHT- Mass protests erupted across the West Bank as thousands of Palestinians demanded an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza and denounced the humanitarian catastrophe caused by its starvation tactics.

Mass rallies were held across major cities in the West Bank, including Ramallah, Jenin, and Nablus, as thousands of Palestinians protested in solidarity with Gaza. Demonstrators condemned the Israeli regime’s ongoing military assault and starvation campaign, which has persisted for over 650 days. The protests occurred amid growing outrage over the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, which has left tens of thousands dead or wounded.

The Palestinian resistance group Hamas called on the international community, particularly Arab and Muslim nations, to mobilize against Israel’s actions. It urged global solidarity and participation in days of protest, demanding international accountability for what it described as genocide and starvation targeting civilians, including children and the sick. In response, a general strike was announced across the West Bank, and protests spread to cities in the US and Europe.

Large-scale demonstrations took place in Brooklyn, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, with protesters calling for an end to US military support for Israel. In London, over 80,000 people rallied to demand an arms embargo on Israel, while Berlin and Hamburg also witnessed mass pro-Palestine marches. Since October 2023, Israel’s military campaign has caused immense destruction and suffering in Gaza, ignoring international legal rulings and ceasefire terms, with the death toll and wounded surpassing 200,000 and famine worsening the crisis.
