Alwaght- The Israeli regime eventually admitted that the Hezbollah resistance inflicted heavy damage on its warship ten years ago.
On July 14, 2006, Hezbollah surprisingly launched anti-ship missiles onto the Israeli Sa'ar corvette which was striking the Lebanese capital, killing the civilians and destroying their houses.
Simultaneously, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah announced the surprise at the end of his televised address, asserting that Sa'ar 5 was struck and burnt.
For ten years , Israeli regime authorities never dared to reveal the damages inflicted upon the warship due to the devastating effects such a disclosure would have on the morale of the general public and the naval forces.

The Zionist media displayed on Thursday the losses inflicted by the Hezbollah missiles upon the Israeli warship and its crew, confirming that the rear part of the warship and a helicopter on board were damaged and burnt and that four soldiers were killed.
According to Al Manar TV, the enemy's media also showed how the warship's crew were shocked by the strike which was about to immerse the corvette had not the Zionist navy saved it.
The Zionist Channel 2 reported that the Israeli navy is conducting several drills to prepare for similar challenges during any upcoming war with Hezbollah.
About 1,200 Lebanese, most of them civilians, were killed in the Israeli war on Lebanon in the summer of 2006. However, Hezbollah fighters defeated the Israeli military, forcing Tel Aviv to retreat without achieving any of its objectives.
