Alwaght- A high ranking ISIS Takfiri terrorist has killed 11 of his fellow terrorists in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
Provincial governor’s spokesman Ataullah Khogyani said the incident took place late on Thursday night in Achin district.
He said the ISIS commander has been identified as Zamin Jan and was popular as Abu Bakr who managed to flee the area after killing his 11 fighters.
According to reports, Abu Bakr was detained by the Taliban Takfiri terrorists and had suffered injuries as he was fleeing following the attack on his own fighters.
The Taliban militants group which is an arch rival to ISIS affiliated groups has not commented regarding the report so far.
The ISIS affiliated terrorists group have stepped up insurgency activities in eastern Nangarhar province during the recent weeks which comes as the terror group received major setbacks as a result of operations by Afghan forces.
Local officials in Nangarhar said Thursday that 27 militants belonging both to Taliban and ISIS terrorist group were killed during a clash in Achin and Khogyani.
Earlier, the loyalists of ISIS released several photographs which purportedly shows the horrific execution of three men who are believed to be members of the Taliban group.
Afghan officials estimate that around 1,000 to 3,000 ISIS fighters are stationed in eastern Afghanistan and are trying to establish a base of operations in the rugged mountains of Nangahar Province.
