Syrian Army Retakes Strategic Al-Rabeaa Town in Latakia

Alwaght- Syrian army, backed by allied forces, managed to retake a strategic town in Latakia province after inflicting major losses to foreign-backed the Takfiri terrorists.
The Army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established control over al-Rabeaa town and al-Rawda village, about 60km northeastern countryside of Lattakia, official Syrian news agency SANA reported on Sunday.
Military sources told SANA that the engineering units are combing the area and dismantling the explosive devices and landmines planted by the terrorists, some of them were killed and injured by the army operation, who fled towards Turkey.
Earlier on Saturday, Army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, established control over the villages of al-Tefahiya, Hilwa al-Gharbiya, Hilwa al-Sharqiya, al-Amlik, Beit Arab, Beit Ablaq, and Tal Asholan along with all the hills surrounding them in Lattakia’s northern countryside.
Meanwhile Syrian forces established control over the villages of Katar and Tal Hattabat  in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.
Elsewhere army units destroyed an armored vehicle in al-Nazihin Camp neighborhood in Daraa city and killed a number of terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition in the neighborhoods of al-Manshiyeh and Daraa al-Mahatta.
It has been four years since a civil war broke out in Syria. Hundreds of thousands have been killed in the brutality of extremist terrorist groups such as ISIS and the al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front in Iraq and Syria…Millions of others displaced from their homes.
The Syrian government blames the United States along with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey and the Israeli regime for backing terrorist groups inside the country.
