ALWAGHT- Qalibaf states that Iran disregards Israel's baseless rhetoric, which seeks to influence the ongoing indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
In a parliamentary session on Tuesday, Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf dismissed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent remarks about dismantling Iran's nuclear infrastructure. Qalibaf called the statements "worthless rhetoric" intended to influence the ongoing indirect negotiations between Iran and the US. He emphasized that Iran does not take these threats seriously, noting that Israel would not act without US approval.
Qalibaf also warned that any attack on Iran would lead to devastating consequences for the entire region, potentially putting American bases at risk. He criticized Israel, stating that its survival is rooted in violence and crime, while peace and stability are threats to it. He also accused Netanyahu of using inflammatory rhetoric to distract from his own political struggles, pointing to the prime minister’s increasing delusions as he faces mounting challenges from groups like Hamas.
Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, echoed Qalibaf's sentiments, accusing Netanyahu of trying to influence US policy during the indirect talks. Despite external pressure, Araghchi affirmed that Iran is confident and strong enough to thwart any attempts to undermine its foreign policy. The ongoing negotiations, mediated by Oman, aim to address Iran’s nuclear program and the lifting of US sanctions, with a fourth round of talks expected soon.
