ALWAGHT- Commenting on his trip to Russia during a broader regional tour of three countries, Iran's Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi noted that Tehran and Moscow continue to engage at the most senior levels.
Iran's top diplomat wrote on his X account that he was pleased to engage with Russia at the highest level as the region experiences major flux. He noted that recent events have demonstrated the depth and strength of the Iran-Russia strategic partnership, adding that while their relationship continues to grow, Iran is grateful for Russia's solidarity and welcomes its support for diplomacy.
Araghchi pointed out that Iran-Russia cooperation has kept expanding amid major and decisive regional developments, referring to the situation caused by the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran. He appreciated Russia's solidarity with Iran and its backing of the diplomatic path, emphasizing that recent events have clearly proven the depth and strength of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The top Iranian diplomat, leading a delegation, arrived in Russia on Monday following trips to Pakistan and Oman to discuss regional issues, including peace efforts in the US-Israeli-imposed war. In Saint Petersburg, Araghchi met with top Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin, with bilateral relations and current regional developments as the main focus of discussion.
