Alwaght- Iraq security situation is escalating day by day and as the Iraqi people and government support Iran in the face of the American-Israeli aggression, various Iraqi resistance groups voice their readiness to get involved in the conflict more seriously and actively.
Northern Iraq, the center of conflict between resistance groups and the US
The interests of the US and Israeli regime across Iraq and abroad are under strikes of the Iraqi resistance groups and over the past 24 hours, they launched 19 drone attacks on the American occupation forces.
Kurdistan region's Peshmerga Ministry reported waves of attacks on an American base at Erbil Airport. A footage showed an attack using Hadid-110 drone striking at a target.
These attacks were launched in retaliation for recent airstrikes by American fighter jets on Public Mobilization Forces (PMF) positions. On Monday, the PMF, locally called Hashd Al-Shabi, reported simultaneous US air strikes on two of its bases, stating that the intelligence headquarters of Brigade 52 in Nineveh province and Brigade 52 in Salahuddin province were targeted.
Prior to these attacks, the PMF had reported on a strike against the fourth unit of Brigade 52 in Tuz Khurmatu in northeastern Iraq, on two separate occasions. In this strike, mortar shells hit a residential building near the attack site, injuring five civilians.
This attack comes amid ongoing security tensions in various areas of eastern Salahuddin, which have prompted local residents to request that security forces enhance their measures to prevent a recurrence of such situations.
Iraqi resistance groups ready for ground operations
Since the US before start of the war had transferred its forces from Ein Al-Assad military base in Anbar to Harir base in Erbil and also evacuated its diplomatic missions across the country, the resistance forces carried out attacks on the American interests in neighboring countries and Israeli regime.
Ashab Al-Kahf, a nascent group, claimed responsibility for attacks on US interests in Kuwait. The statement published by the group said the attack came in reaction to American and Israeli attacks on Shalamcheh border crossing with Iran, calling the Kuwaiti citizens to stay away from the American forces for their safety.
The Saraya Awliya Al-Dam group released video footage of its drone launchers targeting three American bases: Ali Al-Salem in Kuwait, Muwaffaq al-Salti in Jordan, and a base in Syria's Hassakeh.
With the latest wave of attacks over the past two days, the number of attacks by the Islamic resistance in Iraq against the US and the Israeli regime has surged to 713 since the onset of the conflict.
These attacks are predicted to continue for the coming days and weeks, potentially escalating further as Iraqi resistance groups take a more active role in advancing a strategy of attrition and regional warfare. Considering Iraq's geopolitical significance, hosting a large number of American forces and sharing land borders with Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, this position sends a strong deterrent message to the American adversary, warning against adventurous ground operations in Iran, particularly against oil facilities in Khark Island .
In this connection, Haj Abdul Qadir al-Karbalaei, military deputy of the Al-Nujaba Movement, issued a stark warning, stating: "The foolish Trump, along with his mercenaries, followers, and lackeys, should know that from the early morning of Tuesday, all US interests, bases, and facilities in the region will be targets for the resistance, without any red lines."
Hussein Pak, an Iranian political commentator in an interview with Islamic Republic Of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) commented on the standing of the Iraqi resistance groups on the ground operation, saying: "I should advise the enemies to take seriously the warnings of the Al-Nujaba Movement and its commander Sheikh Akram al-Ka'abi. His talks and actions are the same."
Also, Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq have made a similar statement to that of the Nujaba Movement regarding operational coordination with the Resistance camp across the region.
"The Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened to enemies, and they should know that if they attempt to force it open, there will be no oil or gas platform left. They must understand today's equation: either security for all, or insecurity for everyone; either goodness for all, or universal deprivation," Abu Hussain al-Hamidawi, the secretary-general of these brigades, emphasized in a statement.
In general, the PMF and other resistance groups, developing an understanding of the critical regional conditions and the strategic outcomes of the current war and its share in determining the future order in the region and Iraq especially regarding a showdown on the US military presence in Iraq, have mobilized their forces and capacities and shoulder a large part of fighting of a regional front against the Israeli-American enemy.
