Putin and US Envoy Witkoff Conclude Three-Hour Meeting at the Kremlin

ALWAGHT- According to the presidential press service, the Kremlin meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US special envoy Steve Witkoff has come to an end.

The US presidential envoy arrived in Moscow early Wednesday morning, marking his fifth visit to Russia in 2025. This frequent travel highlights the ongoing diplomatic efforts between Washington and Moscow amid a complex geopolitical landscape. The envoy’s repeated visits underscore the importance both sides place on maintaining communication channels despite tensions in other areas.

Throughout his previous trips this year, the envoy has engaged in discussions covering a wide range of issues, including arms control, regional security, and economic relations. His visits often coincide with critical moments requiring direct dialogue to manage conflicts or explore areas for cooperation.

This latest trip is expected to continue that pattern, as both nations seek to navigate their differences while finding potential avenues for dialogue. Observers note that the envoy’s persistent presence in Moscow reflects a strategic commitment by the US administration to keep diplomatic lines open and avoid escalation in their bilateral relationship.
