ALWAGHT- Russian President Vladimir Putin says Moscow is ready to use military force to meet the objectives of its special military operation if Ukraine continues to delay peace negotiations.
President Vladimir Putin said Russia will not allow delays by Kiev to block progress toward its objectives, warning that Moscow is prepared to achieve its goals by military means if a peaceful settlement is not pursued.
Speaking during an inspection of a Russian military command post, Putin said Ukrainian leaders are not moving toward negotiations, reiterating concerns he has raised previously about Kiev’s lack of urgency in seeking a peaceful resolution.
Russian military commanders reported territorial gains in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, while Moscow also engaged in talks with US representatives in Miami on a possible ceasefire. Russia described those discussions as constructive but stalled by Ukraine’s demands and European-backed positions.
Moscow criticized European sanctions and pressure as undermining diplomacy, arguing they prolong the conflict. Russia maintains the crisis stems from years of Western political and military involvement in Ukraine, which it views as a threat to its national security.
