Bahrainis Held Dozens of Anti-Regime Protests in October
Alwaght-The Bahrain Human Rights Society (BHRS) said that 38 peaceful demonstrations were staged in a number of different areas across Bahrain. Some were subjected to collective crackdown, leaving at least 3 citizens injured.
BHRS said in a statement that the demonstrations took place in "Dar Kleb, Diah, Al-Sanabes, Abu Saiba, Al-Shakhoura, Barbar, Al-Maqsha, Saar, Samaheej, Nuwaidrat, Al-Qalaa, Shaherkan, Sadad, Tubli, Al-Diraz, Sanad, Athari, Bouri, Al-Hamla, Al-Koura, Al-Malikiya, Al-Naim, Al-Nabih Saleh, Al-Juffair, Sitra, A'li, Karzakan, Jebla Habshi and Bani Jamra."
It further stated that the security forces used tear gas, shotguns and sound grenades to crackdown on protests in "Nuwaidrat, Karzakan, A'li, Al-Malikiya, Damestan, Al-Diraz and Sadad," adding that 3 citizens were injured as they peacefully took to the streets of Al-Malikiya area.
BHRS also declared that it documented two arrest cases, one house raid in Al-Dair village, and four security checkpoints in ‘Manama, Al-Sanabes, Al-Berhama, and Bilad Al-Qadeem, in addition to recording rallies voicing solidarity with detainees in both A'li and Al-Nuwaidrat.
Meanwhile Brian Dooley, the director of Human Rights Defenders program at the US-based Human Rights First organization, said on Saturday that the participants at the Manama Dialogue 2015, which began on October 30 and will run until November 1, have a duty to pile up pressure on the Bahraini regime so that it changes its way of dealing with members of the opposition and political dissent.
Dooley, who was speaking to a Bahraini television, said the Al Khalifa regime in Bahrain should be forced to carry out “serious political reforms,” including releasing political prisoners, dropping the charges against leaders of the opposition, opening up a dialogue with opponents of the regime and paying more respect to freedom of expression and human rights principles.
Scores of people have been killed and hundreds of others injured and arrested by the US-backed Bahraini monarchy  in the crackdown on peaceful demonstrations since 2011.
On March 14, 2011, troops from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were deployed to Bahrain to assist the Manama government in its crackdown on peaceful protesters.
