ALWAGHT- In a show of unity, 102 senior clerics and seminary professors from Qom released a statement affirming their unwavering support for the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
The signatories, many of whom are advanced scholars of Islamic jurisprudence and theology, pledged their full readiness to defend Ayatollah Khamenei’s leadership. They vowed to respond with utmost sacrifice to any insult or threat against his status, emphasizing their commitment to protect the Leader at all costs.
They described Iran’s military actions against Israel as historic victories, rooted in faith and guided by the Leader’s direction. The clerics warned that any aggression toward Ayatollah Khamenei would provoke even stronger retaliation from the Shia community.
Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi has issued a fatwa declaring anyone who threatens Iran’s leadership guilty of moharebeh, or waging war against God. Ayatollah Khamenei’s public appearance at a ceremony commemorating the martyrdom of the third Shia imam was widely praised by top officials, underscoring national unity and resilience against external threats.
