Clashes Escalates in Yemen-Saudi Border ahead of Geneva Talks

Alwaght - Days ahead of UN-facilitated Yemeni-Yemeni consultations in Geneva, fighting between Yemenis and armed to the teeth Saudi regime fighters is escalated in the countries' border.

UN-sponsored peace talks, set to be held on June 14, aim to settle the Yemeni crisis and put an end to the monthslong suffering of millions of innocent Yemeni civilians.

In response to Saudi regimes escalated airstrikes on Yemen to have the upper hand in the coming Geneva talks,  Ansarullah movement has reportedly withdrawn hundreds of its fighters from the northern and western provinces sending them to the Saudi border and particularly towards occupied Jizan province.

The popular committees and the Yemeni army bombed the al-Doud military checkpoint in Saudi Arabia's Jizan province with Katyusha rockets "and inflicted deaths and injuries to the soldiers there."

Over the past 24 hours Yemenis have fired tens of rockets on "Saudi Arabian military areas that are targeting locals in the border areas in (Yemeni) Saada and Hajjah provinces."

In response, Saudi regime has sent its armored forces to Jizan Province near Yemeni border. It has also send additional naval forces to regions bordering Yemen, two days after Yemenis bombed the Prince Khalid military base in Khamis Mushait, south-west Saudi Arabia, with scud missiles.
