Araghchi: Iran-Oman Cooperation Benefits the Region

ALWAGHT- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation with Oman, stating that ongoing consultations between the two neighboring countries will benefit both their mutual and regional interests.

In a telephone conversation on Monday, Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi congratulated his Iranian counterpart on assuming office.

Emphasizing the Omani Sultan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Iran, Al Busaidi expressed his readiness to work closely with Araghchi to implement existing agreements between the two countries. He also affirmed Muscat's support for ongoing political consultations with Tehran.

Araghchi, in turn, expressed Iran’s readiness for close cooperation with Oman on a range of bilateral, regional, and international issues. Highlighting the growing challenges in the West Asia region, the Iranian foreign minister noted that sustained cooperation and dialogue between Iran and Oman would benefit their mutual interests and aid in resolving regional issues.
