Hezbollah Launches Drone Strikes on Israeli Military Headquarters

ALWAGHT- On Monday, Hezbollah announced that it had launched a drone attack on an Israeli military headquarters in the northern occupied Palestinian territories, causing casualties among Israeli troops.

Hezbollah announced that it had targeted the Israeli military's newly established 91st Division at the Elite Barracks in the Upper Galilee region using a squadron of suicide drones. The attack reportedly resulted in several Israeli troops being killed or injured, as the drones specifically targeted "the positions and settlements of the officers and soldiers, hitting them directly and causing casualties."

The group stated that the air raid was conducted in support of Gaza and as retaliation for Israeli assassinations of Hezbollah members during attacks on several Lebanese towns.

Since the beginning of the Israeli war in Gaza, Hezbollah and Israeli forces have been exchanging fire along Lebanon's southern border. On Sunday, Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets towards northern occupied Palestinian territories in response to a recent deadly Israeli attack on southern Lebanon. According to various Israeli media outlets, over 50 rockets were fired at the Beit Hillel settlement in the Upper Galilee region, causing a fire.

Since October 7, the Israeli military has conducted sporadic attacks on southern Lebanon, coinciding with its conflict in Gaza. In its most notable action, Israel assassinated Fuad Shukr, a senior Hezbollah military commander and advisor to Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, on Tuesday.

Furthermore, on Wednesday, Israeli forces killed Ismail Haniyeh, who was in Tehran for the swearing-in of Iran's new president. The Hamas leader was assassinated alongside his bodyguard, Wasim Abu Shaaban.

On Thursday, Nasrallah announced that the Israeli conflict had entered "a new phase" following the assassinations of Shukr and Haniyeh, warning that Israel had "crossed red lines" and should anticipate "rage and revenge on all fronts."
