ALWAGHT- At least one person was killed in an Israeli military strike on southern Lebanon, in yet another violation of the 2024 ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and the Zionist regime.
An Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle between the villages of Aitaroun and Ainata in southern Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil district, killing its sole occupant, identified as Hezbollah member Hadi Ali Khnafer. This attack followed a similar strike the previous day that killed Lebanese journalist Mohammad Shehadeh in the Nabatieh district.
Since a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah took effect on November 27 after a prolonged conflict, Israel has continued launching attacks in Lebanon, violating the agreement. Despite the ceasefire extension announced by Lebanon until February 18, Israeli forces still occupy five key areas in southern Lebanon near the border.
Lebanon has strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing military presence and violations, viewing them as breaches of the ceasefire and withdrawal agreements. Lebanese officials have vowed to take all necessary steps to remove Israeli troops from their territory.
