Germany Suspends Military Exports to Israel Amid Brutal Gaza Offensive

ALWAGHT- Germany has halted all military exports to Israel that might be employed in its harsh Gaza conflict, responding quickly to the occupying regime’s security cabinet approval of a plan to seize control of Gaza City.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that Germany will suspend all military exports to Israel that could be used in the Gaza Strip, citing the recent decision by Israel’s security cabinet to escalate military operations there. While some arms exports unrelated to the Gaza conflict, such as anti-air missile systems and naval equipment, may continue, Germany stressed the importance of improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza, urging Israel to allow full access for aid organizations.

Merz acknowledged Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas but emphasized the urgency of securing the release of Israeli captives and pursuing meaningful ceasefire negotiations. He also made clear that Hamas should not play any role in Gaza’s future governance. The statement reflects growing public pressure in Germany to reconsider arms sales amid rising civilian casualties and worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza.

Despite being a close ally of Israel, Germany urged Tel Aviv to halt further annexation efforts in the occupied West Bank, where military raids and settlement expansion have displaced thousands of Palestinians. The West Bank remains under Israeli military occupation since 1967, with hundreds of thousands of illegal settlers living across numerous settlements and outposts.
