ALWAGHT- President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized Iran’s goal to deepen connections with neighboring countries alongside key international allies like Russia and China.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized during a meeting with senior diplomats that Iran aims to prioritize strengthening closer and deeper ties with neighboring countries, while also advancing relationships with key partners such as Russia, China, BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Eurasian Union. He also reaffirmed the importance of continuing cooperation with European and other countries based on wisdom and dignity.
Reflecting on the recent Israeli aggression in June, Pezeshkian praised the resilience of the Iranian nation and highlighted the active role of Iran’s diplomatic efforts throughout the 12-day conflict. Despite some disruptions, Iranian diplomats maintained strong international connections, resulting in widespread condemnation of Israel’s actions by global agencies, except the UN Security Council.
Pezeshkian condemned the Israeli attack as unlawful and criticized the tendency of major powers to justify such aggression. He underscored Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei’s call for robust national defense alongside a strong diplomatic agenda, and expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff for their dedication in advancing Iran’s foreign policy and diplomacy.
