ALWAGHT- In response to persistent Israeli aggression, Yemen says it is strengthening its air defenses and promises to humiliate Israel’s most celebrated aircraft.
Mahdi al-Mashat, head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, announced that the country will soon deliver a significant blow to Israeli aircraft involved in recent attacks on Yemen. In a statement to the Yemen News Agency (SABA), he said the nation’s armed forces, especially its air defenses, are prepared to render Israeli warplanes a “source of ridicule,” promising good news in the near future.
Al-Mashat emphasized that Yemen’s military has issued warnings declaring air routes used by Israeli forces as dangerous zones, urging all airlines to avoid them for their safety. He assured that Yemen can counter Israeli aircraft without endangering broader air or maritime navigation in the region, reinforcing the nation's determination to protect its sovereignty.
Yemen has accused Israel of launching repeated airstrikes by hiding behind civilian aircraft, and in response, has enforced a maritime blockade to disrupt military shipments to Israel. The Yemeni Armed Forces have pledged to continue their military actions until Israel halts its offensive operations in Gaza, amid a broader campaign to draw global attention to the humanitarian crisis there.
